Volunteer for a specific position
Would you like to get involved helping asylum seekers but don’t know how? Volunteering for West Welcome Wagon means being able to offer your skills and experience to contribute to your community.
Have you only got a few spare hours here and there between existing commitments? We would love to help you find a way to contribute to assisting asylum seekers in Melbourne's west in your own time, utilising your skills.
Are you detail focused, with strong organisational skills and a passion for working within your local community? The WWW Business Development team is looking for 2 Fundraising Officers who can commit 2-4 hours per week to undertaken one of the following activities: organising community events, coordinating fundraising campaigns or managing the WWW online store. The WWW Human Resources team are currently looking for two volunteers to assist with a range of HR tasks. The team is seeking a Learning and Development Coordinator to develop and administer the Volunteer Induction Program for new volunteers and source other training and development opportunities for WWW volunteers more broadly. A Human Resources Administration Officer role is also required to assist the team manage day-to-day HR admin including; updating the volunteer database, processing working with children check information, scheduling and conducting volunteer phone screening and managing the volunteer@ inbox. Are you a social media whizz with great attention to detail and a passion for social development? The WWW Media and Comms team is looking for a Social Media Coordinator who can commit up to 4 hours per week to publish content, monitor and moderate WWW social media across various platforms (including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram). West Welcome Wagon is always on the look out for casual volunteers to help out with the many exciting events we run or participate in throughout the year (e.g. Bunnings Sausage Sizzles, Bake Sales, Community Events and Festivals). If you are keen to get involved with the work that WWW does, but are unable to commit to a regular role, this is a great way to get involved.
